Recently, I underwent a transformative shift in my coaching approach, transitioning from large group training to personalized coaching services. This change was fueled by a profound realization: amidst the hustle and bustle of crowded fitness classes, many individuals were not receiving the personalized attention they needed to succeed. In the chaotic environment of group fitness, where classes swelled with 20 to 30 participants, it became increasingly evident that individual needs were often overlooked. Despite the vibrant energy and camaraderie, the unfortunate truth was that few were making significant progress towards their aspirations. The turning point came when I recognized the immense value of working closely with clients on a one-on-one basis and in small, semi-private settings. Here, I had the privilege of forging genuine connections, learning about each individual's unique journey, aspirations, and challenges. This personal connection allowed me to tailor workouts to their specific needs, track their progress meticulously, and adjust training regimens accordingly. The most rewarding aspect of this transition has been the authentic relationships I've built with my clients. Unlike the superficial interactions of large group classes, I now have the opportunity to truly understand their struggles, celebrate their victories, and guide them towards lasting transformation. Shifting from the spotlight on my gym to spotlighting the achievements of my clients has been immensely fulfilling. Coach Parker, with over a decade of experience, has trained more than 100 amateur boxers both in-person and online. In 2013, he established his own boxing gym, 'Parkers Boxing Wellington,' in Wellington, NZ. Coach Parker's expertise extends to working with beginners, amateurs, and even professional boxers. His unique talent lies in simplifying intricate boxing techniques into easy-to-master, step-by-step drills. Coach Parker frequently journeys to the boxing hub of the USA, where he learns from some of the world's finest coaches, including luminaries like Robert Garcia and Joe Goossen. Currently, Coach Parker resides in Melbourne, Australia, alongside his wife, where he provides coaching services at Hi Life Fitness Gym in Tullamarine.
